Chapter 1.7

Hey-ho!

Do you remember me? Tis I, Queenarella. The last time I posted (back in September 2022) I talked about a “short” break until November. Life had other plans… I don’t want to waste too much time on that, but let’s say I’m an unvoluntary workaholic now and hate everything about it.

On to what happened so far. So we have Mozart “Mo” Ramones, alien founder, and his wife Azure, quarter alien, who won his bachelor challenge. Mo has a daughter from an abduction, but Polly is NO alien. As she’s not Azure’s daughter I thought it’d be just fair to not let her be eligble as a heiress. There are three more kids: Thommy, Arthur and Ava. At the current stage the young ones are kids and Polly is a teen. And as I announced last time (once upon a time…) we can finally visit Selvadorada and work in Azure’s aspiration, Jungle Explorer.

And here we are.

In case (I’m 100% sure you tho) you need an update: the blonde boy is Thommy, the redhead is Arthur and the little girl is Ava. The others are obvious I think.

No? The teenie is Polly. And the other two are the parents 😀

Mo: What are we doing?

Polly: Admiring this statue. It’s very important.

Mo: So, who is it?

Polly: No idea.

I know the house looks bad, but the family has saved some money by now. We have two workaholic adults after all.

So let’s throw the money out the window by buying stuff that will sit in the inventory for forever. I won’t be able to sell it because “what if we need it one day?!”

Azure: Wait, you’re the vendor as well?

Vendor: No, I’m his twin brother.

I literally saw you walking over only seconds ago.

Vendor: Life’s hard lately, ok?!

Azure: Nice eyeshadow.

Maybe I should’ve left the family at home, mainly because I totally forgot about them.

Arthur: You ignored us, as you always do!

Ava: Stop whining, brother. Enjoy the freedom!

Listen to your sister.

I wonder why the family is miserable, but Azure is totally fine. They have the same need bars…

Vendor: Of course we have internet here. How else do you think do I know how to have my makeup on fleek?

Azure: Uh… Haha… Could we talk about the jungle?

Vendor: Actually, the colour of my eyeshadow is called “naughty jungle”! And…

The first day is over and they finally get to sleep. I’m just glad this accomodation isn’t too expensive, considering we need six beds.

And no, no double bed in this house…

Mo: Of course not… Why should I be able to enjoy my hard earned holidays?!

Let’s be glad you don’t get a chance to spawn another baby…

Mo: But what if the aliens come back?

YOU are the alien.

Back to ignoring the family (business as usual acutally).

Azure: I’m excited and nervous at the same time. What if I’ll die?

We have three eligible heirs so it wouldn’t be too bad.

Azure: EXCUSE YOU?!

Wait, did I say that out loud? Oops.

How heavy is that machete? I know that swords from the Middle Ages were super heavy and some even had to be swung with both hands. I’m not an expert on weapons (quite the opposite)…

Azure: My will power gives me strength to carry and swing everything.

Let’s set this straight: bees are great and leave you alone when you don’t anger or scare them. Wasps on the other hand…

Azure: OK, wasps then. Anyway, they are attacking me!

Good! We need that for your aspiration.

Azure: Not good, we’re not on that milestone yet!

Darn.

Where’s your machete I paid way too many Simoleons for?

Azure: I broke it.

HOW?! Isn’t it made of STEEL? How can plants make your steel weapon break? o.O

Wait, am I trying to apply logic in this game? Nevermind.

Azure: What a majestic view.

Been here, done that.

Azure: But it’s my first time.

You’ll see it several times soon…

After all these years I still don’t know how to get to the other temples. I’m always stuck on the first one. I’ve tried many times! Like, three times at least 😀

Ah of course, the one thing you expect in an ancient temple: radios. Three of them.

To be fair, does anyone even still have one like this? I only have my phone and a bluethooth box (I call it my little boom box).

Azure: Ah, fire!

Why… are you smiling?

Azure: I feel so alive again!

Well, you might be less alive soon tho!

Ava would be so proud of you. What an independent woman you are!

Azure: Who?

Your daughter?!

Azure: Oh, you said AVA. I thought you said … uhm … something else. That fire extinguisher is really loud, you know?

Sure.

Azure: ‘Riddle me this…’ How about no?

Please, take your time to figure out what to do because you might die!

Azure: No risk, no fun!

The risk is DEATH.

Azure: Oh now you’re worried?

We’ve come quite far, I don’t want to start the aspiration all over again.

It worked. Lucky guess.

Azure: Oh oh…

What?

Azure: There are these green swhirls on my skin.

No -.- Poison… The antidot is 1K Simoleons!

Azure: But I’m worth more than 1,000, aren’t I?

We find a treasure…

Azure: Oops. Well, I’m already dying so who cares?

She does everything by trial and error now.

And yes, I know that it was me who chose all the options 😀

The little sun means a blessing, as far as I can remember.

Azure: So I’m cured?

Nah, there’s still a 50/50 chance you’ll die once the moodlet runs out of time. (Call me brutal, but once I’ve tried to be lucky when a child got poisoned… I was lucky 😀 And a cheapstake. Wait, wasn’t that in my other legacy?)

FINALLY.

Azure: So shiny! But isn’t that theft?

Uhm… It’s not theft if it’s for archaeology?

What’s going on with you again?

Mo: I’m a legacy founder and not use to this lack of attention. Do I have it now?

Yes. But not in a good way.

Mo: Attention is attention.

The glitch went away back in Willow Creek so no worries 🙂

The temple is raided completed, but there’s still the antidot issue.

Angela, MOVE.

Angela: But I’m writing my disertation.

On holiday?

Angela shooed away, Azure can buy the expensive antidot.

Azure: This tastes interesting. I should try it again.

You can only buy it when you’re poisoned. I think.

Azure: Well, back to the temple it is then!

No.

Townie: Hey, I heard there’s a legacy family in town and I wanted…

NO. Leave us alone.

She’s pretty tho.

There’s a bit of time left to do something in the jungle.

Azure: So you make me dig up dirt?

You’re an archaeologist, you must enjoy it!

And we have a spider attack. I’d rather die than live on with the knowledge a massive beast of a spider sat on my shoulder.

Azure: At least it’s a plus for my milestone.

Ah yes, we reached that part. Good. One more creepy attack and we’re done.

Azure: I am done.

Azure: Look at this wooden voodoo doll!

It’s not a … Wait, isn’t the effect similar?

Azure: I need a precious stone for it.

We might have one at home.

Might ain’t good enough so Azure gets to destroy some stones with a tiny hammer.

One day we’ll come back to the jungle. Maybe it’ll only be Azure, but we still need to finish the aspiration…

Also, my game isn’t broken anymore (the black screen issue). So I guess that’s cool!
