I hope you all had a refreshing weekend!
So what happened last chapter?
The first baby, Melina, was born and she had the nerve to not be purple.
We adopted a cat called Sunshine.
Amy got fat.
It’s already time for Melina to become a toddler!
The first moodlet the little girl had was tense. Because FIRE!
What the heck, Sophie?!
She cooked and baked so much and a simple grilled cheese makes her burn down the kitchen???
Amy wanted to help but she remembered how Sohie had called her fat the other day.
So she pointed the fire extinguisher at the wrong thing…
Sophie still survived.
Back to our baby. Just as I thought her skin got a bit lighter. Guess it’s another bug? Great.
I let the hair she grew up with. It kinda suits her.
Melina’s toddler trait is Wild.
As soon as we left CAS it was time for skilling.

Melina is… a bit of hard work. I struggled to keep her out of the red for the first two days.
And she threw a lot of tantrums.
Vlad: I’m here for a complaint. Why is my son not part of the main legacy family?

Sophie spends the most time with Sunshine. On free will. Sunshine needs a lot of attention.

Sunshine also got attention from Melina. The cat looks thrilled.
That’s what you get for entering the play room 😀 Toddler play room, not the Mr. Grey kinda play room…

I have to admit I thought about leaving her on there… Her life bar is already blinking anway…
And then she turned… blue grey.
Is this the way Amy leaves the world?
Nope. I saved her butt.
Amy: That’s delicious! What is this?
Tempy: It’s salad.
Melina threw another tantrum. I struggle so much with her… Or is it her trait?
James: It’s fine. Kids can be a handful. She’s totally normal… No anger issues… Nope.
And now it’s time for another baby!
Please be purple!
And it’s not purple.
Just a note: I don’t mind the dark skin color. I just hoped there would be an alien color again…
His name is Brian.
Brian’s female version would have been Maggie. But it’s good this name wasn’t picked because I have another idea for a theme where Maggie would be a nickname, for Margaret that is ^^
Sunshine guarding Brian. So cute!
Also, as Sunshine is named after James’ late mother it could be the cat is her reincarnation. The white fur stands for her pure character.

Before you think about Playboy or similar, nope. This is a reference to a few chapters ago when Nathan was sad there were no news about Veronica in magazines 😛 THOSE magazines, ok.
Some townies decided it’s funny to build snowmen all around my lot… Creepy!
Sophie: Hey mom! Have you seen our cat yet?
Barbarella: Cat? Why a cat? Why no babies?
Sophie: I still have time to have babies. I have eternity to bear babies…
Barbarella: Eternal amount of babies?
Sophie: Stab, stab, stab your knife in your mother’s back…
Nathan: She’s a freak…
Sophie is a crazy cat lady even tho she doesn’t have the trait.
She cooks a GOURMET dish just for Sunshine.
And Sunshine decided to age up!
Sunshine: You spin me right round, baby, right round…
Me every time I see my cat.
See the dish. It looks so fancy.
What would my cat do?
Act like she’s starving to death, freak out when I put down the plate and then sniff it and disappear.

Queenarella's Challenges and Stories 
I read once that there are only four colours available for (human) baby skintones so the game picks the closest approximation. Like if you make two red sims have a baby, they’ll end up with the darkest baby skintone or something like that, then when they age up to toddler they have the red skintone. I’m not sure if it’s been changed since, it was a while ago that I heard about it.
And alien hybrid skintone inheritance messed up anyway. One of my mermaid alien hybrids (same colour as Tempy) had a dark skinned (same colour as Cam) kid with Elle DeVampiro when I was playing with their genetics. I wouldn’t put too much thought into it anyway, but that’s probably why Melina and Brian both ended up being dark. And I think green/turquoise are interchangeable, but not with purple because even as I was playing with Lonnie and Sophie’s genetics, none of their kids were purple but a lot of them were the darker shade of green (darker than Sophie). Guess the game was trying to do something with how dark Lonnie’s skintone is, I don’t know

That sounds interesting! I can spoiler you and say the two don’t get to be blue or any other alien color but they get closer to James’ skintone when they grow up 🙂
Oh so purple has never been an option for the babies. That’s sad…

Yeah if they were an alien colour when they grew up they would be the alien colour as a baby with the alien baby outfit (that’s why I specified four human skintones, as opposed to the alien or alien hybrid skintones). I just had two red sims make a baby and yep, baby was darkest brown skintone, aged him up to toddler and he was red. So, yeah, it’s weird.
I think purple might be interchangeable with the dark blue alien skintone. I’m not actually sure, but it is weird that green/turquoise are interchangeable. Now that I think about it, my dark blue alien never ended up with any purple babies when he went on a baby-making spree. So… yeah, sad.
Purple would never have even been an option for these kids… so if you want purple then a purple alien better win the next bachelor/ette haha

I totally forgot about the alien outfit for babies. I think Tempy had the alien outfit as a baby but she was blue from the start anway.
So the baby color thing is a similar problem like the colorful hair colors for toddlers and kids. They simply don’t exist.
Baby making spree sounds like a lot of fun 😀 😀
I honestly didn’t know about the whole color thing until Tempy was born. And even then I thought it’s a bug. Can’t explain something in game? BUG 😀
Purple was more of an example to what color the next baby might get and I stuck to the color for whatever reason 😀
I can already see every next contestant being purple. 🤣 What have I done…
